Two Blasts in Quetta : Reaction of arresting Al-Qaeda operatives

In the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta two suicide bombers who were targeting a senior security official, struck near government offices, killing 20 people, according to a police official.
It is not yet sure who was responsible for the terrorist attack, but it is known that Pakistan’s Taliban militants close to al Qaeda often carry out such actions, aiming to topple the government.
Also, autonomy-seeking militants who are demanding a bigger share of the profits obtained from oil and other resources, could also be made responsible, as they have waged a low-level insurgency for years now.
As one of the bombers blew himself up in a vehicle full of explosives, situated near the car of the deputy head of paramilitary Frontier Corps, Farrukh Shehzad. Shehzad was only wounded, unlike his wife who was killed, authorities stated.
The other bomber struck inside Shehzad’s house, which had its walls brought down by the explosion, which also destroyed nearby offices and killed many people, seven of which were Shehzad’s guards.
