RAWALPINDI: The Corps Commanders’ Conference was underway in Rawalpindi on Thursday, INews Pakistan Reported .
This handout photograph released by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) shows Pakistani Army chief General Ashfaq Kayani (C) attending the 141st Corps Commanders’ Conference at the Army headquarters in the city of Rawalpindi on Monday.
The military brass was discussing matters related to national security and the regional situation.
According to sources, the matters being discussed included professional matters pertaining to the armed forces, Karachi’s security situation, Pak-Afghan border issues, war against terrorism and strategic and defence ties with the United States.
The conference was also likely to discuss the situation in the country’s tribal areas and operations to eliminate militancy.
